Softball- CIF SJS D1 Playoffs
Central Valley 8, Tokay (Lodi) 4
The Hawks picked a good time to have an explosive 1st inning as CV jumped all over the Tigers with a 6-run 1st inning. The Hawks took advantage of some Tokay miscues mixed with some timely hitting to take the early lead. CV would end up winning 8-4 when it was all said and done. The Hawks were led by Selah Chesney (2-4, RBI), Selene Valencia (1-3, 2B), Maddy Morales (3-4, 3 RBI, 3B, 2B, 2 runs), and Addisyn Prudhel (1-3, 2 RBI, 3B). Brooklyn Steeley controlled the circle for the Hawks as she tossed a complete game, racking up 4 K’s and allowing just 2 earned runs. CV will now travel to the #1 seeded, Whitney Wildcats in Rocklin on Wednesday. Good luck to our Hawks as they look to pull off the upset.
