Girls Tennis (from Tuesday)

Central Valley 9, Lathrop 0

The Hawks continued their dominant WAC play with another shutout win over the Lathrop Spartans; CV is now 13-0 in the WAC.  CV wins came from: (Singles) Aleena Higle, Harkiran Sandhu, Aaliyah Jauregui, Valerie Espinoza, Serath Birring, and Roxana Orozco, (Doubles) Genesis Velasquez Pedraza/Ilyana Vidal, Selena Cubillo/Valeria Sanchez Luna, and Emily Carranza/Natalia Campos.  The Hawks will wrap up league play today when they host the Ceres Bulldogs right here on the CV tennis courts.  Good luck to our WAC Champion Hawks on their Senior Night.

Girls Flag Football

Varsity: Ceres 21, Central Valley 19

JV: Central Valley 13, Ceres 0

Frosh-Soph: Central Valley 6, Ceres 0

In a very exciting Crosstown matchup, the Hawks came up just short in a regular season ending defeat to the Ceres High Bulldogs.  The Hawks stormed out to an early 19-0 lead, but the Bulldogs would not go away and eventually took the lead with under 2 minutes remaining.  The Hawks did make a solid push down the field on their last drive, but could not convert a 4th down attempt in the red zone with around 25 seconds remaining.  Central Valley still finishes an impressive regular season with a  3rd place finish and an automatic playoff berth.  This is the first playoff appearance for the flag football program in their short history (3rd year).  Both the Frosh-Soph and JV teams shutout the Bulldogs in impressive fashion to take home wins!  Congrats to all levels on a great season!

Girls Volleyball

Varsity: Ceres defeats Central Valley 3-0

JV: Central Valley defeats Ceres 2-0

Frosh-Soph: Ceres defeats Central Valley 2-1

The Lady Hawks wrapped up their season last night on the road at Ceres High.  The Varsity fell in straight sets to the Bulldogs while the JV Hawks were able to come away with the win.  The JV Hawks finished the WAC season at 10-4 which was good enough for a 2nd place finish

Water Polo

Girls: Lathrop 13, Central Valley 11
