Baseball

Central Valley 8, Franklin-Stockton 3

The Hawks made their home post-season debut a memorable one as CV picked up the playoff win over the Franklin Yellowjackets by the score of 8-3.  Offensively, the Hawks were led by Caden Mendonca (1-4, 3B, 2 RBI, run) and Fernando Dominguez (1-3, 2B, RBI, run).  On the mound, CV ace Chris Garcia did what he always does and dominated the Franklin lineup.  Chris went 7 innings, allowing just 2 earned runs while striking out 11.  The Hawks will now turn their attention to the #1 seeded St. Mary’s Rams.  Good luck to our Hawks as they travel to Stockton on Wednesday to take on the Rams at 4:00pm.
