Girls Soccer
Varsity: Central Valley 0, Ceres 0
In the final regular season game, the Hawks and Bulldogs played to a 0-0 draw. The Hawks controlled the tempo of the game, but could not capitalize on several scoring chances. CV had 2 shots clink off the crossbar and the Hawks were unable to convert on offense. The Bulldogs did play the Hawks tough and it was a competitive game overall. The tie doesn’t hold much weight on CV’s overall record as the Hawks finish up the regular season at 19-2-2 overall and 12-1-1 in the WAC (League Champs). The Lady Hawks will find out their playoff fate later this afternoon.
Girls Basketball
Varsity: Lathrop 51, Central Valley 22

Softball
Varsity: Central Valley 26, Pitman 2
The Hawks kicked off the 2025 season with an onslaught of runs against the Pitman Pride. CV is currently getting by with just 9 varsity players as Coach Bates awaits the arrival of the winter sport athletes finishing up their basketball, wrestling, and soccer seasons. The roster may have been small, but the results were mighty as the Hawks hammered out 18 hits, including 4 doubles, 1 triple, and 1 home run. Brooklynn Steeley was 3-4, 2B, HR, 5 RBI while Reylena Herrera, Alayah Villa, Destiny Herrera, Abigail Krauss, Valerie Espinoza, and Valerie Padilla all had multi-hit games. CV slugger, Gabby Delatorre chipped in with a triple and 3 RBI. The Hawks will be back in action next week in the Bill Evans Memorial Tournament co-hosted by Central Valley and Ceres High both on site and at Costa Fields in Ceres.
