This weekend we took 8 students to compete at FFA State Finals at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo for their respective Career Development Event (CDE) Teams. Participating FFA members are challenged to develop critical thinking skills and effective decision-making skills, foster teamwork and promote communication while recognizing the value of ethical competition and individual achievement in a specific agriculture industry area. These teams have been competing all across the state since March to develop & improve upon their skills.
The Poultry Judging Team (Juan Diego Gonzalez, Kymberlee Torres, Karymee Torres & Amy Moreno) took 8th overall high team in the state, and the Dairy Cattle Evaluation team (Francisco Morales Villa, Brianna Tavares, Valeria Fregoso, & Joshuah Michelena) was 10th overall in the state. We are SUPER proud of their hard work & dedication this year!
